Difference between life as a postgrad and postdoc
Hi,
I'm coming towards the end of my PhD postgraduate study. I'm now considering my career path and thinking of doing a postdoc. However, I would like to hear how different is the life between a postgrad and a postdoc. During my postgrad years, I often had to work long hours, so that I can complete my PhD in time. It's sometimes hard to differentiate between study and play clearly. Compared to my friends whose working, once they finished work, their spare time will be for play. Of course, there are some who need to bring work home to do too... So how is the life of a postdoc? How different will it be from a postgrad? I hope someone can shed some light. Thanks alot! |
