My name is Panagiotis and i am a PhD Student. My research field is metallurgy and i am trying to optimise the function of a new furnace that is used in perlite expansion process. In simple words the furnace consists of a vertical tube , with a stream of preheated air and perlite particles introduced in the upper end of the furnace. The tube is heated by resistants which ar located around the tube. I want to use a cfd program to analyse first the air molecules movement (particles circuit and velocities) and secondly the temperature of the stream for different function situations ( Resistants temperature, air supply, preheated air temperature etc) Im new on this field and i wanna hear opinions on the question '' Which you think is the most suitable and applicable program for this job??'' Please notice that i am new on this! Thank you very much for your help Bye from Greece
