1D simulation of unsteady gas flows in pipelines

One-dimensional techniques for simulation of unsteady flows of compressible fluids in complex piping networks still can produce rather adequate results by certain robust framework (consrvative characteristic-based schemes and their extensions for modeling flow in junctions, etc). However, it seems that a few publications conserned experimental validation of this approach are available. Is that true? Could you advise where such information can be found?

Hello Andrew, please see www.univer.omsk.su/~cmm/kbks there are calculations for steady and unsteady flows (as small quasi-harmonic oscilations for two phase fluid). We find poor places for large complex network. Rashid Faizullin faizulin@univer.omsk.s longecho@yahoo.com
