Adapt o-block to new geometry

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I'm trying to adapt a mesh to a new geometry. At first glance the geometry needed the o-block that can be seen in the image at the right and left, but know the geometry has been changed and simplified. Hence there are extra edges that don't need to be associated to the new geometry. How could I modify the topology or what strategy of association could I follow?

I hope someone can help, I've tried everything I know!

It's solved now. I did it using the "merge vertices" option which allowed me to reduce the number of edges.
