heat flux is found to be zero!!

Dear friends, I was solving an external flow problem using CFX. The body was subjected to hypersonic flow (M=6). Results were converged. I assumed body surface as adiabatic wall. I could see the temperature distribution over the surface of the body but heat flux was found to be zero over the surface. I could not make out the mistake. Kindly suggest me. As it was the first trial, I used coarse mesh. But i am feeling that it should have shown atleast some variation in the heat flux. It was completely zero. Thank you.

Doesn't "adiabatic" mean "zero heat flux"?

A temperature distribution 'over the surface of the body' indicates that there's conduction along the surface, not necessarily across the surface.

What am I missing?

You are not missing anything. An adiabatic wall has zero heat flux through it.
