ANSYS - polyflow divergence error

Hi all,

I have used Evolution task with simpified viscoelastic sub-task and bir-carreau law in polyflow solver for the analysis of rubber flow through a die in extrusion process.

I am getting the following error in my simulation:

Divergence detected for field CHI_DOT: iterations cancelled by Expert System
Divergence detected for field VELOCITIES: iterations cancelled by Expert System
Divergence detected for field COORDINATES: iterations cancelled by Expert System

Divergence of influent solver occured !

*** WARNING *** from [EVOLUT]
First step does not converge
It is not possible to start the evolution scheme

Anyone faced the same issue? Which evolution function is best for the above problem.

Thanks and Regards

Use evolution on parameter n with f(S)=1/S if index is lower than 0.7.

Ansys polyflow convergence error

Hi Everyone,

I finding convergence error during my simulation. I have used Phan Than Tanner model & applied evolution scheme on inflow volumetric flow rate.
f(s)=s where, initial value of "s=inflow volumetric flow rate"
step size of s = default value
boundary conditions are as follows:
inlet: inflow volumetric flow rate
wall: no slip conditions
axis of symmetry
outlet: fn,ft imposed =0

Thanks and Regards
