Who can suggest some fundamental paper or books for LES or VLES(TRANS)?

Hi, friends,

I just initiat a new research topic (for me it's new): very large eddy simulation - VLES, I want to find some fundamental materials in this area: 1, the basic idea of LES & VLES 2, the most updated referneces for VLES (or TRANS)

who can give me some suggestions? Thanks.

Try:

@Article{Speziale:RANSLESREVIEW, author = {Speziale, C.G.}, title = {Turbulence modelling for time-dependent {RANS} and

{VLES}: {A} review}, journal = {AIAA Journal}, year = 1998, volume = 36, number = 2, pages = {173-184} }

It might not be the best or the most complete, but it's interesting.

Hi Jason,

I have been going through a book "Turbulence in Fluids" by Marcel Lesieur, Third Edition, 1995, Kluwer Academic Publishers. I found it to be quite interesting especially the explanations given in the Capter on LES. Try it.

Cheers
