muultiple inlets how to initialize

friends ...
my problem is described as follows

1. rectangular channel, hole at the bottom surface.
2.[ inlet face, hole] both are VELOCITY INLETS.
3. AIR through face inlet, WATER through hole
4 how do i specify volume fraction for both inlets while INITIALIZING

through patching

please care to elaborate, if you might???

you can mark, face, regions, volumes etc through adapt->mark.

dont actually adapt the mesh but just mark the region out.

next go to initialize->patching

select the phase you want to patch, you can patch velocities, volume fractions etc, for the secondary phase you will be able to patch the volume fraction i.e. 1, in the region where there is only water.

plot the contours of the volume fraction to see if the patching actually worked. you will be able to see water at the face/surface/region you patched in the contours before actually starting the simulation

post back if it worked.
goodluck
