Dear Experts,
I wanted guidance regarding a physics definition in aerodynamics project. I have seen in the cfd model that, the RPM is given to the tyre and the velocity is given to the road. Now anybody can please explain me why is that road is also given some velocity.. Thanking you, Sidharth. |

Hi sidharth,
given the information my guess is, since your frame of reference is moving along with the tire you have to take into account the interaction of the air with ground. in your frame of reference the road is moving at exactly the opposite velocity of your tire. |
