Hello,

What would it be the consequence of scaling a mesh 10 times in FLUENT? Does it affect the convergence or the time of convergence?
As I understand, the amount of cells, aspect ratio and the rest of the mesh characteristics should remain the same, therefore the time of the calculation should be the same. Am I right?

I am running some simulations of heat transfer effect on aerodynamic performance of airfoils. So far, I've worked only with 2 meter chord airfoils, but I'd like to study the same effect in smaller airfoils (down to a 20 cm airfoils).

Any insight into this would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

if you scale only the lenght, the Reynolds number scales accordingly and the physics is different

...which in turn will affect convergence behavior and simulation time.
