Hello could someone clear up some confusion i have on the implicit pressure correction method and the simple algorithm. Are these algorithms two separate methods of solving for the velocity and pressure or do they have to be used together?

Implicit pressure correction as a concept is a part of many CFD approaches, of which SIMPLE is one. Others would include SIMPLER, SIMPLEC, PISO, and many different projection/fractional step methods.

If there is a specific implicit pressure correction algorithm that you are referring to, please post a reference and maybe I can help further.

the material i used was of a lecture as I am a student learning CFD at the moment and the lecture material was a bit ambiguous, but thats helped clear up the confusion i had. thank you
