Hello, Friends

I cann't find the description of SMPLEC-algorithm in internet: I know SIPMLE and SIMPLER (I have Patankar's book), but I do need SIMPLEC. Would you pleased to write me back the information about this algorithm or some e-addresses where I can find it.

Thanks for help, Evgueny

Try this book.

You may try the journal paper:

Van Doormaal J.P. and Raithby G.D.(1984), "Enhancement of the SIMPLE method for predicting incompressible fluid flows", Num. Heat Transfer, Vol.7, pp147-163.

Hi Evgueny You may find a brief description in H.K Versteeg & W Malalasekera "An introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics, The Finite Volume Method"

See also good letter: D.S.Jang , R.Jetly, S.Acharya. (Luisiana State Univ.) "Comparison of the PISO, SIMPLER, and SIMPLEC algorithms for the treatment of the pressure-velocity coupling in Steady flow problems", Journal: Numerical Heat Transfer, vol.10, pp.209-28, 1986.

This thread is very old and the authors of the original comments are not likely to respond.

This webpage should get you started on the SIMPLEC method.
