Hi,
Reading through mechanism of break up of liquid jet in gaseous atmosphere, I come across two different classification schemes, one is the Ohnesorge vs Reynolds graph and other is based on the weber number for gas and liquid. Both classify breakup into Rayleigh, wind induced and atomization regimes. Based on the first scheme, the jet I'm interested in would lie in the atomization regime while based on weber number, it belongs to wind induced regime. I'm at loss in understanding this discrepancy (if it is dicrepency at all). I hope someone can shed some light. Regards, Harry |
