Thermal Heat modeling
I want to model transient heat loss from a solid surface in a conjugate heat transfer model. Simplifying my case,
I just need to model convection and radiation losses from a hot solid surface to the ambient surrounding conditions: This surface loses heat to atm air due to convection which can be written as: Qc= h(c)*A*(delta_T); h(c)= C2*f(deltaT); (C2 is some constant); It also radiates heat into the the continuum medium in the neighboring regions: It can be written as: Qr= h(r)*emmisivity*A*(Tc^4-T^4) ; This can be simplified or transformed into a linear function using various tools to get: h(r)=C1*f(delta_T)+ C3; (C1 and C3 are constants); Then I simplify this equation as: h(tot)= h(r)+h(c); I enter this as the CEL expression in the HTc as a BC. Does this make sense? Any help or comments will be welcome !:) |
