Default Using CFD to calculate minor loss coefficient

If I model a 90 degree bend (turbulent where v=1m/s and d=0.01m) and I get a pressure reading from a monitor before the bend (e.g. 1500Pa), and a pressure reading from another monitor after the bend (e.g. 500Pa) how do I work out the minor loss coefficient from this?

Is CFD calculating the major loss? (1500-500=1000Pa)?

Provided you set the correct physical and mathematical model, the correct boundary conditions, provided that your scheme is consistent and stable, your problem has a Re number of O(10^3) that allows a CFD code to run in DNS condition. That means you get all the variables you want.
