Dear All,

Say, there is an small hole in a pipe, through which oil leaks (the gray pipe in the middle of attached photo). The hole will be sealed using a sealant. Now we need to know how long the sealant can withstand by means of CFD simulation. All the boundary conditions and the properties of oil and sealant are known.
Is it any way that we can do it by CFD? Can we use CFD free surface software?
I will appreciate your help.

I am no expert in this field, i will tell what comes to my mind, I would approach sealant structurally, I will find the fatigue life of sealant, and rate of detoration with loading, and we can find the forces acting on sealant from Cfd. Then you shall need to couple it with a structural or fatigue solver.
