I'm conducting an unsteady simulation of a full centrifugal compressor and ran into the problem of obtaining a 'static' state. I have run my simulation for about two rotations and there is still a large amount of unsteadiness in the mass flow rate at the inlet and outlet. Is there methods or suggestions on how to increase the rate of convergence or I'm doomed to run my simulation until it naturally reaches such a state? I have been looking through published literature and I can't find much discussion on how to reach a 'static' state. I'm using a total pressure and temperature inlet boundary and specified a static pressure at the outlet. To initialize my simulation, I took a prior converged Fluent simulation and interpolated into my simulation.
