sa har is on a distinguished road
i have 2 channel with different hydraulic diameter (25mm and 30mm). air is moved in them by natural convection. boundary condition in 2 case are similar. walls of channel are under heat flux and thermal boundary layer is not fully developed in channels.finally channel with Dh=25mm has more Q=mcp(Tout-Tint) and walls temperature. can you help me to explain this phenomena? i think that when hydraulic diameter is lower, thermal boundary layer grows faster, so heat transfer between air and walls should be lower. can you explain it?
