I have been reading around and been seeing that you can land "CFD" related jobs with just a Bachelor's that involves grunt work such as CAD cleanup.

If I am interested in these kinds of jobs, what skills and projects should I be working on to make my resume look impressive? I am a senior engineering student in my last semester, so I don't have much time left. I am working on a senior design that involves simulation as well as a small research project that involves CFD. But they are pretty simple in terms of geometry, mesh, etc.

I know how to "use" software such as Inventor, ICEM CFD, FLUENT, and OpenFOAM from projects... but simply being able to use the software does not seem to be much of an accomplishment.


Should I do something like make a porfolio? I am still extremely new to CFD and can't really find much information on these types of jobs. Thanks for any advice.
