I can't seem to find any publications which detail the development and use of the Jameson method. If anybody knows of any books available, please let me know. Cheers.

Do you mean the Jameson method for upwind-biasing schemes or for high order artificial viscosity?

The upwind biasing scheme. I have a program calculating transonic flows through a cascade, and need to know more about the scheme behind it. Cheers.

Following is the information of articles of Jameson about high order artifical viscosity (JST) and upwind-biasing schemes (ELED, CUSP ...):

Jameson: Analysis and design of numerical schemes for gas dynamics, 1: Artificial diffusion, upwind biasing, limiters and their effect on accuracy and multigrid convergence, International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics, 1995, Vol. 4 p. 171-218 A. Jameson: Analysis and design of numerical schemes for gas dynamics, 2: Artificial diffusion and discrete shock structure, International Journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics, 1995, Vol. 5 p. 1-38 Besides these, you can find some explanations about the Jameson's method in the book of Charles Hirsch "Numerical computation of internal and external flows" X. Hi there are some works about upwind tech for flow in a cascades plus for unsteady transonic flows.
J.M.Verdon, J.R Caspar J.Fluid Mech vol 19 pp 403-429 1984 (finite difference method for potential flow) D.S.Whitehead The calculations of steady and unsteady transonic flow in cascades Cambridge University Eng. Dept. CUED/A-Turbo 1982 (finite element approach flow) A.Ecer H.U.Akay Investigations of transonic flowin in a cascade using finite element method. AIAA J v 19 #9 pp1174-1182 (finite element method for nonpotential flow) In the beginning of 80 I did some works - calculations for unsteady sub and transonics flows in a cascades. |
