How to do a thermal shock study for closed loops?

Hello CFD community. I am new to CFD and I want your help.
I got to analyze a thermal shock problem. Problem involves a closed loop of a typical power cycle having steam as working fluid. Pressure and temperature are suddenly reduced (due to a leak or injection of cold fluid). I have to study the effects on material that will be produced due to this sudden reduction of temperature and pressure. I think this will include fluid-solid interaction. Is it possible to simulate this type of problem in ANSYS? Should I analyzed the complete loop or a part of it? Any suggestions how to solve this type of problem?
