Hi Everybody

I am considering the possibilities of simulating the sloshing motion of water in a tuned liquid damper. Since I would like to determine the resulting forces from an advanced load series the simulation will have to cover a rather long timespan (optimally more than 1 minute), meaning that the computational time becomes important. My research so far has pointed in the direction of SPH (smooth particle hydrodynamics) to solve the simulation, but I am having a hard time figuring if it will be feasible or not.
Mainly I am looking to determine the following questions:

- What formulation of SPH would be the best regarding precision, computational time and stability?
- What computational time should I anticipate?
- What software/code to use?
