Mesh Independence

Hey!

I made a mesh independence study in order to define the coarse mesh that throughs the same solution as a finer one. After knowing the element size that works to me, I had to make a change on the grid (changing it to an O-grid).
Does this mean I have to do my mesh independence study again? Or could I extrapolate the results obtained before to my new case? (Geometry has always stayed the same).

Thanks in advance.

In short, yes. Any meaningful change to a meshing strategy such as switching to an O-grid requires you to redo a study.

Yes, redo it. Changing grid topology is also an important change in grid characteristics.

For example, you can imagine I keep the same cell sizes but I draw them stupidly and put skewed cells everywhere such that the solution always diverges.
