Sub-configuration validation: Axial fan
Hello everyone,
currently I am working on a project that includes an axial fan in a series of ventilation ducts and several other elements (diffusers etc.). All in all the geometry is not very simple and therefore it is difficult to perform measurements. I noticed that there are significant discrepancies in my simulations for different turbulence models. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with a case study that I can use to do a sub-configuration validation study for the axial fan (e.g. velocity component measurements in simple duct including an axial fan). In this way I could look if I am modeling the axial fan in the correct way (grid resolution, turbulence models etc.) I tried looking at the ERCOFTAC cases etcetera but I cannot find anything suitable there. Hopefully someone has some suggestions for me. Kind regards, Rob |
