Hi all,
I'm currently looking for an open-source code for the inverse design of a turbine cascade. I only need a simple panel method that can give me a quick estimate of Cp etc. to get a first design of the blades. For more precise NS simulations in the later design process I got the tools. So far I only came across Xfoil and JavaFoil which work well for single airfoils but not for cascades. So technically I only need an equivalent which allows for periodic boundary conditions. The only tools I found so far are MISES or CASCADExpert which, unfortunately, are only commercially available. So any hint for similar codes that are available open-source or at least as freeware would be much appreciated. Thanks! |
