External flow or Internal flow boundary domain
 

Hi everyone,

I am doing the numerical simulation of cavitation on the 2D quarter hydrofoil experiment of Hord 'Cavitation in liquid cryogens 2 - hydrofoil' NASA CR-2156. The tunnel and hydrofoil size is as in picture.

I wonder that this problem can be considered as expernal or internal simulation? Currently, I am considering this as external problem and created the grid as in picture below.

I read some papers they did as internal flow simulation. However, other considered as external flow. And I think by considering the external or internal will influence the results, right?
