Understanding force monitor
Hello community. I have a question pertaining to a sort of fundamental understanding of forces.
I have a simulation where an object is attached to a wall. This object generates a lift force. I need to understand the magnitude of The forces so that we can understand how big of bolts we need. Pretty straightforward, right? In commercial codes when you have a force monitor it integrates pressure on both sides of the object. In this case I don't have one of the sides since it's attached to a wall. The question I have is what reference pressure do I use you represent the backside. As I've been thinking about this more and more, it made me realize I don't necessarily understand all of the physics associated with something like this. Does anyone have any sort of a good idea as to what pressure would be used to get a reasonable force? |
Could you post the geometry?

I cannot post the geometry, but imagine a side view mirror where you are trying to determine the side-side force.
