Hi Jooks,
Refer to the paper by Zang et al. (1993) Zang, Y., Street, R.L. and Koseff, J.R. (1993), "A dynamic mixed subgrid-scale model and its application to turbulent recirculating flows", Physics of Fluids A, 5 (12), pp. 3186-3196. The authors have explained box-filtering operations in the appendix A of this paper very clearly. One can follow similar approach to derive the expressions to one's requirement. Hope this helps Good luck Mayank |
