residual convergence vs variable stabilization

1 Attachment(s)
Hello to you all,

In a couple of simulations I am running I have come into these situations:

Case 1.- A simulation reaches the residuals limit established (1e-4), but the simulation was not stopped and the variable of interest (monitor point) is still changing with every iteration. Should I stop the simulation and trust the value at the iteration when the residual limit was reached? or should I keep on with the simulation till the variable value settles?

Case 2.- A simulation never reaches the residuals limit established (1e-4), but the variable of interest (monitor point) after a certain number of iteration shows no significant change. Is this a reliable solution even though the residual limit was never reached?

Case 3.- A simulation never reaches the residuals limit established (1e-4), and the residual plot shows some residuals are stuck around a certain value (for example 1e-3). Should I stop the simulation? Should I keep on and wait till the value of the variable of interest stabilizes (for example pressure)?

I hope you can enlighten me about this situation.
Thanks in advance.
