Pump Performance
 

Hi,

I'm performing CFD simulation using MRF method for a pump application. When I'm comparing the performance test data with simulation results. I could see the huge deviatio in the pressure head at that flow rate. (Ex:- Pressure Head at 50LPM is 12m in test data, I'm seeing pressure head of 50m in simulation at same flow rate.)

Is there any specific reason, why simulation is very poor in predicting the pressure head in pump applications?

It would be helpful if someone shed some light on this topic.


Note:
I have tried resolving mesh size to the finest. Still problem not resolved.
