airflow through porous material (HELP)

Hi there I am trying to simulate the air flow that travels through a pipe and then penetrates through a medium and in doing so cools it. I have managed to simulate porous media but do not know how to make change the properties of the porous media to simulate nylon 12 powder. Help much appreciated.
