Help Initializing open channel flow with air and water

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I need help simply imputing values to generate the correct initialization I want. I want to simulate the flow of water and air horizontally moving through a rectangle. When I initialize my settings and display the water volume fraction, I don't get what I want. I get some weird free surface level that varies across my inlet instead of my wall boundaries. My rectangle is 22 ft tall and I want the water level to be 3 feet from the base. What am I doing wrong? How is it that when you apply the free surface level, ANSYS know's which coordinate plane the free surface level will be on (x,y,z)? I have attached a screenshot of some of the settings I used and the incorrect volume fraction display on my model.

Another problem I get is the error message "valid velocity-inlet zone for open channel initialization" when I try to initialize my solution using the "flat" option
