Tip Clearance in Transonic Compressors

Hi everybody,

I am a PH.D student and I am going to start my thesis which is about studing flow field in the tip clearance of a transonic compressor. I would be so grateful if you tell me how I can start and if you introduce me some helpful references .

sincerely yours,

(1). Try to read the ASME/ Journal of Turbomachinery. And ASME turbomachinery conference papers.

Re: Tip Clearance in Transonic Compressors

try Budugur lakshminarayana's book on turbomachinery "fluid dynamics and heat transfer of turbomachinery" it's a good reference on anything to do with turbomachines. john also pointed you to some good reference journals. increasing papers are available online either in collections or at the authors homepage eg http://web.mit.edu/aeroastro/www/labs/GTL/ is mit's gas turbine lab homepage

Look for the book: Compressor Aerodynamics by. N. A. Cumpsty. There are also a lot of references.

question

I read the Nasa report "Laser Anemometer Measurements in a Transonic Axial Flow Fan Rotor" that is about NASA rotor 67 and it has a lot of data about the 3D geometry about this blade, and I tried to produce the 3D geometry of this blade that I need it immediately but I couldn't. Does any body have the 3D geometry of this blade in IGES or STEP format?
Thanks
