I believe the gentleman is looking for a company
I belive the gentleman is looking for a company to take up a consulting project, rather than an individual. I suppose you already thought of the obvious - check with the code vendor's user support or consulting services ..
Perhaps CFD-ONLINE can maintain a new forum to advertise consulting project opportunities. I myself would be interested in a forum like that, to assess the state of the "market". I currently work for a CFD company (hence the alias in my email address!) but maybe I can set up shop on my own later .. |

In order to promote some discussion, may I ask why your company feels it important that the work is performed using STAR-CD or FLUENT?

(1). In that case, would it be easier to become a sponsor ? (2). I don't know whether it is cost effective this way.

Re: searching a copmany(professional in using STAR-CD) for doing a project in HVAC system of vehicle
I am still curious about the decision process and do not mean to imply any criticism since I am sure you know your business far better than I do.
If one employs an expert body to solve a problem outside one's area of expertise, it is usually wise to be as clear as possible about what to solve but not how to solve it (they are the experts after all). Has the requirement to use STAR-CD or FLUENT come from other considerations? Perhaps they are considered the market leaders? A customer wants you to use them? You are aware they have been successfully used before for this type of work? Would you be happy to adopt another commercial product if it was suggested? Would you be comfortable with free but unsupported software? |
