Scouring by Eulerian approach

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a flow around a bluff body with a sand bed below. I am using Eulerian multiphase segregated flow, where primary phase is Water and dispersed phase is sand. I am considering porosity of sand to be a constant value (0.4) i.e. initial volume fraction for water 0.4 and for sand 0.6 in the sand region. My simulation is still in early phase, but I doubt whether it's a correct way of doing it. Dispersed multiphase flow is mainly for low volume fraction secondary phase. Should I try with a different model?? If yes, which Eulerian model should be the most appropriate for this??? I would appreciate any additional suggestions. Thank you very much.
