Hello,
I am trying to simulate the location and the length of a classical hydraulic jump in a rectangular open channel with 1D St Venant equations. I am using the time as an iteration parameter for reaching the steady solution. I am using a two-step MacCormack finite difference scheme. The time step 'dt' is variable in each iteration obeying in CFL condition for constant 'dx' and Cn number equal to 0.65. 1) Is it possible to do this with this technique ? 2) When I put more spatial nodes then complex numbers appear in my code and does not converge. Any suggestion ? Thanks. |
