Hi all,
I need to do a spatial averaging of the temperature. Is it correct to do the arithmetic averaging?

It is possible to do since it corresponds to the mean value formula. But if you want a greater accuracy you have to discretize the volume integral

In my case study, I have already done a time averaging of the gas temperature for each node(discretization 0,25x0,25 m). I wanted to do the spatial averaging of an area. In this case I did an arithmetic averaging. Is this procedure correct?

Temperature is usually mass averaged. Arithmetic averaging may equal to area averaging on a uniform mesh.
