Hello.
I have a university project where I'm supposed to find the hydro-static pressure on the blades of a decanter scroll. The decanter is rotating at 400 rpm and has two outlets at both ends of the scroll. The inlet is placed at the center of the decanter and releases the feed at 3 m/s. I first tired to model it in fluent and then transfer my results to static structural.I got some results. I was wondering. What is the difference between my model and system coupling? thank you |

Hi,
Your way is 1-way coupled (interaction) between fluid flow and solid and you take by hand. The system coupling has 2-way coupled (interaction) and of course, there is 1-way coupled. It is important to transfer data completely automatically. And there are many other benefits of system coupling. |
