Hello all,
I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum for this question, but there does not seem to be a dedicated IcePak section to this site. I am using IcePak to model some gross airflow characteristics of air conditioning condensing coil designs, and I am having issue defining the resistance of a coil when it is not oriented to a primary X-Y-Z axes. I am using a resistance block defined by polygon and have the resistance block oriented at an angle. I am trying to determine how the "flow direction" vectors define the flow through the block, as well as how to define the open area of an opening not lying on the X-Y-Z axes. Any help on this topic would be appreciated - specifically with "flow orientation" does the implied 3rd vector define the direction of flow, does it matter if it is positive or negative, and does this vector have any bearing on the free area ratio calculations? Thanks |
