Hi,

I am working on development of a mathematical model for moving packed bed of iron pellets. It is solid-gas cross flow.

For gas, I have following inputs as boundary condition:
1) Pressure at inlet
2) Pressure at outlet
3) Gas composition at inlet
4) Temperature of gas at inlet

For time being if I assume constant composition of the gas (no reaction kinetics) then remaining four gas variables are (velocity, density, temperature, pressure) with four equation (Ergun equation, continuity equation, energy equation and state equation).

So, what will be the appropriate algorithm for coupling this equation?
and can any one give some reference for discretization of Ergun equation?
