Comparison of RKE and SST model
Hi,
After performing some simulations with both RKE and SST k-w models, some conclusions appeared, but i failed to give good explanations for these. The Realizable k-epsilon (RKE) fails to predict separation, and leads to an overattached flow. I know something is overpredicted in this model and leads to this behavior, I just did not found what. Is there someone knowing what is overpredicted in the RKE model that would lead to this overattached behavior ? Also, the SST k-w did the opposite, predicting too much separation of the flow. The question here may be obvious for you but is not for me, why a stronger separation prediction is a bad thing ? Thanks in advance for those who will try to answer my questions. Regards, |

You're probably thinking of the production of k term. |
