The book by Malalasekera and also the book by Anderson have worked examples for the SIMPLE algorithm in 1D.

I'm writing my 3D SIMPLE and PISO implementations for the sake of learning, but I'd like to have some canonical cases with results so that I can check if my implementations work as expected or not.

Yes, I know there are open-source CFD packages (like OpenFOAM), but they are very powerful, allow for lots of settings, and it's not straightforward to compare their cases with yours unless you read their (huge) source code for double checking the calculations they are doing. So, I prefer textbook-like worked examples with clear and succinct definition of the calculations done.

I realize 3D takes a lot of numbers, but for example a 5x5x5 grid would take 125 results per step, which is not that bad... it's certainly doable.

Alternatively, 2D could also be helpful, but I'm writing 3D implementations, so if the test cases are 3D it would be much better...

Do you know of any book/website/etc where I could find such data, for my testing purposes?

Thanks!
