Deciding Simulation Type
 

Dear CFD Users,


I am fresh cfd user. I have a question about simulation type, unsteady or steady. What is the our criterion for appying simulation type? It seems like the amplitude is our criterion. It sounds like above some value of amplitude we must solve the problem in unsteady but i am not sure.

Can you please elaborate the problem a bit more. The idea to use steady or unsteady algorithm is whether physically the flow i steady or unsteady. It means whether the flow properties at any point changing with time or not.
