Postprocessing flowRatePatch

Hello Foamers,

Inlet patch area is x and outlet is y. So from that the FlowRate in postprocessing should be different. In Paraview the results justify the Continuity equation but In Postprocessing flowRatePatch the results are same for Inlet and Outlet. Why??

What mistake I'm doing?

Thanks in advance!!!

Why should the flowRate be different?

The flowRate is the volume what get into your simulation space and the continuity equation says the same volume has to go out of your simulation space. The unit of the flowRate is m³/s. Or am I wrong here?

I think you have evaluated the integrated velocity (m/s) over the patch in Paraview and not the flowRate. Is that possible?
