SPH code for two-phase (compressible/incompressible) flows
Hi,
I would need to simulate a two-phase (gas-liquid) flow with a compressible gas phase by means of SPH. The geometry is complex and it is given by stl files. Part of the domain boundary is moving and I have an inlet and an outlet as well. Are there any SPH codes (free or commercial) that I could use for this simulation? Thank you for your help. SPH code
Hi, Manuel!
Look at: https://spheric-sph.org/sph-projects-and-codes https://dual.sphysics.org/ https://wiki.manchester.ac.uk/sphysi....php/Main_Page https://pysph.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ dual sphysics have most improved plugins for complex geometry processing |
SPH code for two-phase (compressible/incompressible) flows
Hi ves,
thank you for your reply and suggestions. I have already been trying to use DualSPHysics for my simulation. But I will need to implement the Inlet/Outlet boundary condition for multiphase flows, because this feature is not currently supported. However, the very good point is that I can import the stl files. I had also a look at the documentation of PySPH. It is mentioned in Overview/Changelog that an STL importer was added in the version of November 2018. However, I was not able to find any examples with the import of a complex geometry. Do you know whether this is actually possible in PySPH? If yes, where can I find an example to learn how to import a geometry? Thank you. Regards Manuel |
complex geometry
I don't know how work with geometry in pySPH. You may link OpenFOAM classes for mesh reading with DuaSPH or pySPH. GMESH reader, some mesh generation software and other reader https://people.sc.fsu.edu/~jburkardt/.
You need only points from mesh |
inlet/outlet bc
Read PhD from
https://spheric-sph.org/ I have my realisation outlet bc for G. R. Liu books fortran code. This code simple and easy to read and modification |

Hi ves,
thank you for the hints and the reference. I will have a look at it. Regards Manuel |
