Software Suggestion For 1D Automotive Analysis
Hello everyone.
I would like to apologize in advance if this is not the correct forum for my post. Can anybody suggest some useful software for 1D analysis in automotive field? I used Gt-Suite package for years that was very powerful in all related subsystems like engine cooling, AC, fuel consumption and ... but in new year and because of license problems I cant use it anymore. Thanks and best regards. |
What physics you plan to solve?

As I mentioned earlier, My research focus is on simulating engine cooling and AC system and analyzing their behavior and each component (like radiator, fan and...) impact on total system performance so it means solving energy and flow equations in one dimension.

Are you looking for free alternatives or paid ones?
We mentioned both here https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ma...-1d-codes.html Additional paid ones are flownex (https://flownex.com/) and GASDYN (https://www.exothermia.com/engine-overview). Maybe, you might even be able to do what you want with MATLAB simscape. But you will have to check yourself for the specific capabilities you are looking for. |
Ops, forgot this one from NASA https://www.nasa.gov/gfssp
EDIT: I mentioned all the code I know (even if not explicitly tied to the automotive industry) because, as a matter of fact, there is not that much out there and you may find more useful to sort that out by yourself |
you can use KULI{https://kuli.magna.com/} software for your required purpose. which can perform 1D simulation on engine cooling system and AC system in automotive quiet easily.
I am also working on the same project . and I learned through tutorials and pdfs but didn't got the license. may be you can try contacting them. and please let me know if you got access to it. |
