Hi all,

Figured this would be best answered by overall CFD community.

I have a general misunderstanding I think regarding analysing rotating regions in CFD simulations, say for example, turbomachinery, pumps etc. I see alot of use in the literature of static values of global parameters, with the assessment used for say improving rotor/blade geometries as a single example.

However, I seem to think that relative values are really the only true representation in these cases.

Can anyone tell me what I am missing please?

Many thanks
Ed
