Hello,

I am a beginer in Grid unstructured generation, till now I have worked on solver and structured grid generation only. I am looking for literature/book on grid generation ( I have already read Thompson & Warsi ) specially concerned with anisotopic grid generation. I also want to know about triangulations and am looking for very basic material for beginners. Please help me for the same.

Regards

Hi,

1. W. Kyle Anderson, "A grid generation and flow solution method for the Euler equations on unstructured grids", Journal of Computational Physics, 110, 23-38, (1994)

( I guess it appeared as NASA report also. Check out NASA TM-4295. Explains the step by step procedure involved in 2-D unstructured grid generation using Delaunay triangulation technique. )

2. D.J. Mavriplis, "Adaptive mesh generation for viscous flows using Delaunay triangulation", Journal of Computational Physics", 90, 271-291 (1990).

(You can also search for ICASE reports at http://www.icase.edu. Look for reports published by Mavriplis and/or Venkatakrishnan.

In Particular there is a paper by Mavriplis on "Unstructured mesh generation and adaptivity".)

3. T.J. Barth, "Aspects of unstructured grids and finite-volume solvers for Euler and Navier-Stokes equations", AGARD Report, 787 (1992)

(A well written report which will help you to understand the issues...!)

Good Luck,

Jawahar

Hello,

If you are interested in commercial anisotropic mesh adaption then have a look at;

Hope this is of interest to you.
