I am recently getting into mixing CFD studies, simulation of mixing tanks with impellers.

I am looking for information about criteria used in judging the mixing effects and some novel studies. Can anyone recommend some papers/books for some bkground review. Thanks a lot.

you may review the paper Turbulent flow in agitated vessel, Harvey & Greaves, Trans IChemE, vol 60, pp.195- 1982
