Turbulence intensity higher than 1
 

Hi all,
is it possible that a flow has a turbulence intensity more than 1? Since I saw once a lecture note, that now I cannot find, where the turbulence intensity was expressed in percentage, I am afraid that I am doing a bad calculation because, in a high turbulent flow, I have a result where the turbulence intensity is 2.

The simplest example to unserstand why it is possible is some flow with nearly 0 mean and large fluctuations of both signs.

Of course, I can't say anything about your calculation, but turbulent intensity can actually have any value
